About BPC Health Policy Program:

The Bipartisan Policy Center’s Health Policy Program works to develop bipartisan solutions that promote cost-effective, evidence-based health care, strengthen Medicare and Medicaid, improve population health, and harness innovation and technology for better outcomes.

About the Role:

The Spring 2026 Intern will support the health team across various policy domains based on interest and project needs. Assignments may include policy research, writing briefs and blog posts, event planning, congressional tracking, communications, and administrative tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct policy research on topics such as Medicare, Medicaid, health care cost drivers, digital health, and long-term services.
  • Draft infobriefs, blog posts, memos, or other written deliverables.
  • Support event planning and coordination efforts.
  • Track congressional activity and relevant legislation.
  • Perform communications tasks and administrative support as needed.
  • Collaborate with project analysts and staff across projects.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (or recent graduate).
  • Rising juniors or above preferred.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Clear and effective communication ability.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Genuine interest in health policy issues.
  • Non-U.S. citizens may apply (must have valid work permit); no visa sponsorship provided.

Compensation & Program Details:

Interns work full time for 10 weeks and receive a stipend of USD 3,000. The spring internship is conducted in person in Washington, D.C. Applicants must be rising juniors or above, enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergrad or grad program.
