About the Role:

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a database of more than 20 million active, left-leaning American donors, including data on wealth, ideology, political and non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. Our mission is to use this data to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.

In GA’s Digital Department, our team of experts works to democratize fundraising and set new standards for innovation. We experiment daily, leveraging the scale of our database to jumpstart programs whose biggest barrier is the status quo.

We are seeking a Senior Digital Strategist who brings flexibility, creativity, and fundraising expertise to deliver for Peer-to-Peer texting clients and full-scale experimental digital programs. The role focuses primarily on text and email fundraising.

Our ideal candidate will excel at fundraising copywriting and have experience teaching best practices. They will pitch, create, send, and analyze daily fundraising content for Democratic and progressive clients, collaborate across teams, and embrace curiosity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and elevate full-service digital programs in collaboration with strategists.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in copy, production, client communication, and systems.
  • Drive innovation through regular testing, tracking, and optimization.
  • Balance full-service and Peer-to-Peer responsibilities with effective delegation and communication.
  • Leverage GA’s donor database to grow lists and optimize fundraising.
  • Deliver excellent client communications and customer service.
  • Collaborate across departments to break down silos and support smaller campaigns.
  • Create and refine resources that define digital standards of excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in high-level digital fundraising strategy (campaigns, nonprofits, or similar).
  • Direct client management experience.
  • Strong fundraising copywriting skills across diverse formats.
  • Knowledge of the progressive digital fundraising landscape.
  • Experience with CRMs, SMS/MMS platforms, and donation tools.
  • Competence in data/performance analysis, ROI tracking, and budgeting.
  • Working knowledge of HTML.
  • Adaptability, openness to feedback, and willingness to pivot.
  • Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 plus benefits, with potential signing and performance bonuses.
