Regional Finance Director at Leaders We Deserve

About the Role:

Leaders We Deserve (LWD) is a PAC and SuperPAC dedicated to electing bold, young, progressive leaders to state legislatures and Congress. The Regional Finance Director will help candidates build the strongest finance operations possible, working closely with the Executive Director and a partner Regional Political Director.

This role includes advising campaigns on fundraising strategy across call time, events, digital, PAC/donor engagement, and overall finance management. It also requires supporting campaign reporting, donor databases, staffing, and urgent organizational needs. Travel across the country (0–7 days per month, potentially more) will be required, especially in election periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise campaigns on call time, fundraising pitches, and follow-up strategies.
• Guide campaigns on event planning, maximizing host engagement, and revenue.
• Ensure digital fundraising channels (email, SMS, ads) are optimized and campaigns avoid predatory contracts.
• Advise campaigns on PAC/donor outreach and facilitate connections.
• Set quarterly fundraising goals in collaboration with campaigns and LWD leadership.
• Manage donor databases with a focus on security and integrity.
• Support campaigns with staffing and urgent organizational needs.
• Participate on the ground for end-of-quarter efforts to maximize campaign potential.
• Hold weekly check-ins with fundraising teams.

Qualifications:

• At least one cycle as Finance Director on a congressional race or deputy on a statewide campaign.
• Highly skilled in written and verbal communication.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently within strategic guidelines.
• Detail-oriented, creative, proactive, and highly dedicated to electing young progressives.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 per year
