Field Organizer at Population Connection

About the Role:

The Field Organizer supports Population Connection and
Population Connection Action Fund in building grassroots support for universal access to
voluntary family planning services. This role is central to the #Fight4HER campaign,
mobilizing voters to push for pro-choice policies and increased international family planning funding.
The position is hybrid, requiring significant in-person organizing, and is available in
Tucson AZ, Las Vegas NV, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill NC, or
Southern New Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers through direct outreach and digital platforms.
• Build partnerships with student, community, and social justice organizations to advance advocacy goals.
• Organize events, speaking engagements, and meetings with members of Congress.
• Conduct volunteer trainings and mentorship to grow leadership within the movement.
• Lead canvassing, phone banking, texting, petitioning, and other grassroots actions.
• Support digital organizing efforts in EveryAction and other platforms.
• Monitor current events and represent #Fight4HER at community forums and public events.
• Maintain volunteer records, track engagement, and submit regular reports to national staff.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience (community, campaign, or political organizing).
• Pro-choice commitment — must support reproductive freedom and rights.
• Must live in (or relocate to) one of the four target locations.
• Strong skills in social media management and outreach.
• Independent, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel (domestic, with occasional short notice).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EveryAction, Mobilize, Hustle, and Canva.
• Fluency in Spanish (a plus, but not required).
• Ability to deliver compelling, values-based messaging to diverse audiences.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $80,000 – $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
